Both players are able to do everything themselves instead of being forced to work together so it really just boils down to an easier take on solo mode. The co-op is also a LOT easier this time around. IMO the other restaurants could have been a good component to the game but they shoulda been secondary as a way to unlock new stuff for your place rather than the main thrust of the game. After a bit you get the hang of it but it also gets boring pretty quick since you just finish a place and move on to the next. These are stressful as fuck since there are SO MANY FOODS in the game so you're never really prepared for any of it. The main thing you're doing is events for other restaurants where the menu is predetermined like a pizza place, ice cream shop, burger joint, sushi place, etc. You still have your restaurant, but unlike in the original you aren't really upgrading your kitchen equipment, but rather cosmetics for the dinning room (I think some of it helps with customer wait times, I forget).
